Mission & Goals

CEA-Alaska’s Mission is to support CEA’s national mission in Alaska and to serve as an advocate for Alaska’s energy consumers on various local, energy-related issues.
CEA-Alaska supports reasonable, logical and balanced solutions to energy challenges and urges that policy decisions be based on sound economic, cultural and environmental facts.
CEA-Alaska’s Members are Alaskans who support a comprehensive energy policy that ensures affordable, reliable energy supplies and promotes a maximum degree of energy independence, economic prosperity and national security.
- CEA-Alaska supports the efficient utilization, conservation and diversification of all domestic energy resources, from oil & gas to alternative energy.
- To better bridge the gap to alternative power, CEA-Alaska believes it is imperative that increased domestic energy production be the immediate goal until new sources can provide an economically viable addition to our country’s needs.
- Increased domestic production is critical to our national security, particularly in light of high unemployment, economic challenge, increased international turmoil and — along with supply and price — uncertainty in oil-producing parts of the world.
