Two types of energy sources exist: nonrenewable traditional resources, including fossil fuels, and renewable alternative fuels, such as wind and solar.
Fossil fuels are “nonrenewable” energy sources, which means they cannot be renewed in a short period of time. Processes of nature created fossil fuels from the remains (“fossils”) of plants and animals over millions of years.
Fossil fuels include:
- Coal
- Crude Oil & Petroleum Products
- Natural Gas
- Liquefied Natural Gas
- Natural Gas Shale
