CEA President David Holt on Bipartisan Permitting Reform Agreement

HOUSTON – Consumer Energy Alliance (CEA) President David Holt issued the following statement on the bipartisan permitting reform agreement:

“We are encouraged by the bipartisan agreement on permitting reform that is essential to getting shovels in the ground to build more American energy infrastructure for the benefit of consumers and create jobs. A more efficient and predictable permitting process can help get critical energy and infrastructure projects built faster to provide communities, families, and small businesses affordable and reliable energy. We thank the members of the Senate and the Administration for their efforts on the draft bill released today. CEA continues to evaluate the entire package, specifically how the electric transmission provisions will impact reliable and affordable delivery of energy to consumers and businesses.”
