U.S. Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette announced that the Department of Energy is making the Strategic Petroleum Reserve Storage Capacity available to U.S. oil producers. The critical economic impacts of COVID-19 have reached across industries, and the energy sector is no exception. According to Secretary Brouillette, “To help alleviate financial hardship to the critical American energy sector, President Trump has directed the Secretary of Energy to fill the SPR to its maximum capacity.”
