The Hillje-Blu Lacy Transmission Improvement Project
The Hillje-Blu Lacy Transmission Improvement Project exemplifies how smart infrastructure investment can deliver real value for local families, businesses and communities.
The proposed project includes approximately 155 miles of new, storm-resilient transmission lines from Wharton County to Nueces County, along with two new substations: one in Wharton County and one in Nueces County.
What Communities Gain
The Hillje-Blu Lacy project is designed to strengthen storm resiliency, improve reliability, increase energy capacity and support current and future local economic growth.
It’s also expected to provide more than $10 million in new local revenues, support approximately 1,400 Texas jobs during construction and create downstream economic growth for local vendors and small businesses throughout the project.
