Consumer Energy Alliance’s independent, third-party report Enbridge Line 5 | Shutdown Impacts on Transportation Fuel which examined the consumer impact of shutting down Line 5 was recently discussed by Derek Dalling, executive director of the Michigan Propane Gas Association.
According to the Consumer Energy Alliance, the total economic impact would be around $5.4 billion per year, due to higher energy costs and massive drops in economic productivity. Thousands of jobs would be lost.
