- Leasing State Land for Wind Development
Bipartisan legislation introduced in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives would allow for the leasing of state land in Erie County for offshore wind development.
Pennsylvania’s wind farms provide enough electricity, on average, to power nearly 350,000 homes across our state.
According to the U.S. EIA, wind energy accounted for more than one-third of Pennsylvania’s renewable electricity in 2019.
