Florida is called the Sunshine State for a reason, and what better place to pave the way for the future of solar energy?  Every day conversations regarding the technology are occurring in the state legislature, courts, regulatory agencies, and communities around the state. Imagine parts of Walt Disney World being powered by PV panels, or bars in Miami using the state’s abundant sunshine to power weekend parties. More than 8,500 people support their families in Florida thanks to the solar industry.

This year, Florida Power and Light plans to install 2.5 million panels at eight new solar energy centers located around the state.
